Beginner Wild Clay Hand Building with Chris Alic

Join artist Chris Alic at Moonbrook Maker’s Space for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to wild clay hand building. This small-group workshop is designed for beginners and offers plenty of time to learn, experiment and develop your own pieces with guidance along the way.

Over three sessions, you'll work through the complete process of creating and finishing your pottery.

Session One — Building with Wild Clay

We'll begin with an introduction to wild clay and the fundamentals of working with it. Chris will demonstrate basic hand-building techniques, including pinch, coil and slab methods, and you'll begin creating several pieces of your own.

Session Two — Refining & Finishing
